Working with multiple image resolutions

With Contentful, there’s no need to upload multiple image versions at different resolutions. Having just one image at the highest resolution you need is enough. The rest can be done by developers using our Images API, which allows for an image to be transformed on the fly, in terms of resizing, cropping or changing the resolution.

Bandwidth for resized images

Bandwidth is counted according to the actual transferred data. For example: if you use the Image API to resize an image of 2MB, and the resized image is 1MB, the counted asset bandwidth is 1MB.
