Add locales to an asset

You can have multiple locales versions of your media assets, just like you can for entries. Adding locales for assets is done in the asset editor. 

To add locales to an asset:

1. Log in to the Contentful web app.

2. Go to the Media tab.

3. Go to the required asset and click to open it. The asset editor is displayed.

4. In the sidebar, scroll to the Locales area to view the list of all locales for your asset.

5. Click Edit locales list. The list of locales enabled for your environment is displayed.

6. Select a checkbox(es) to add the desired locale(s) to your asset editor.

7. Click Save. The fields for the desired locales are added to your asset editor and can be filled with content.
