Configure Experiences

To start building in Experiences, go through a configuration first. The configuration process involves defining a preview URL and the generation of an underlying content type.

To configure Experiences:

  1. Log in to the Contentful web app.

  2. Click Settings and select Experiences.

    NOTE: Experiences must be Enable Experiences in spaces for the space in which you are working.

  3. Click Configure.

  4. Enter a name for your Experiences setup. Click Next.

  5. Set up a preview for your experiences according to the following options:

    • Add to an existing preview platform - Select this option to add your experience preview URL to an existing preview platform. Then, select a preview platform from a drop-down.

    • Create new preview platform - Select this option to set up a new content preview. Enter a name for your new content preview.

  6. In the Preview URL field, enter a preview URL for your experiences. Click Finish. Your Experiences setup is finished.

NOTE: To try out Experiences locally, it might be the best to use a localhost URL.

NOTE: Your content preview platform must integrate the Experiences SDK in order to be able to create Experiences later on. For more information on setting up a content preview, refer to content preview setup guide.
