AI Suggestions (Beta)

AI Suggestions are an entry-level type of AI Action in Contentful that analyzes your content to generate insightful, actionable suggestions. Insight types include content quality checks, alignment with style guides.

Unlike AI Actions that transform content, AI Suggestions focus on analyzing and suggesting. These produce stored results that can be reviewed, reused to maintain brand consistency and improve content quality assurance.

FAQs

What are AI Suggestions?
AI Suggestions are a type of AI Action focused on review instead of creation or complete transformation. They analyze individual entries for quality, brand consistency, and translation accuracy, then surface feedback and suggestions in a dedicated AI tab.

How do AI Suggestions differ from regular AI Actions?
While AI Actions create or transform content, AI Suggestions review existing content. Instead of directly modifying entries, they produce suggestions that you can choose to apply.

Where are suggestions stored?
Suggestions are saved in the AI tab of each entry, making it easy to revisit or compare historical outputs. Please note: results are currently stored in your local browser storage, so clearing cache will remove them.

Can I apply all the suggestions at once?
Yes. You can apply them individually or use “Apply All” to implement all recommendations in a single step.

Can I use AI Suggestions in Live Preview or Studio?
Not yet. AI Suggestions are only available in the main entry editor. Support for workflows and Live Preview is planned for the future.

Do AI Suggestions review referenced entries?
Currently, AI Suggestions only analyze the core entry content. References are not resolved as part of the review.

No. Usage of AI Suggestions is free during the beta, with fair usage limits applied.

Who can run AI Suggestions in my space?
Any user with edit access to entries and permission "Run AI Action" can generate AI Suggestions and apply them.
