Announcing the Contentful Developer Hero Program

We are super excited to roll out our new Developer Hero Program! This cool initiative is all about recognizing, supporting, and empowering the most passionate and talented developers in our community. We want to spotlight and reward developers who are actively engaged with Contentful, creating a bridge for collaboration between developers and our team.

Hey there 👋, I’m Katie Hines, the Developer Community Lead at Contentful. When I joined, I quickly realized we have an incredible developer community where you were already contributing by helping others, writing blog posts, and sharing your love for Contentful. And many of you are eager to get involved in other ways, like contributing to documentation or leading workshops. 

I wanted to celebrate all of your amazing contributions and ambitions, so I set out to build this ambassador program. Collaborating with a handful of incredible developers, together we built this program with you in mind.

Let’s meet our inaugural Heroes!

Presenting the first-ever group of Contentful Developer Heroes. Please welcome them to the Contentful Developer Hero Program! One of the first things we did was host a meet-n-greet where the Heroes were able to meet with folks from across the Contentful Product Team. 

These Heroes have already done amazing things for our community, jumping right in to help our Documentation Team by testing, designing new formats, and boosting overall quality. Plus, they've been super active in Discord, answering technical questions and sharing best practices and tips.

They've also engaged in one-on-one meetings with our Product Team to share their valuable experiences and feedback. Stay tuned for their continued contributions and the positive impact they will have.

Prior to officially joining the program, many of the inaugural cohort had already contributed some of their insights and expertise to the Contentful blog, Developer Showcase, or Discord community. Tutorials, guides, insights, you name it. Here’s a sampling of what’s been contributed so far, and to give you an idea of further things to come.

• Teemu has written many blogs for Contentful and we are thrilled to have him on board as a Hero. 

• In addition to writing a fantastic blog, Ignacio is also highly active in Discord and answers hundreds of tech support questions.

• David is another Hero who has written for the Contentful blog along with contributing often on Discord. 

• Luce also wrote a blog and gave a fantastic talk at Fast Forward — Check it out!

The role of a Developer Hero

Developer Heroes will be our ambassadors, spreading the word about Contentful and its latest features. They play a key role in building a strong community, helping fellow developers, and giving us valuable feedback to make our products better. Their efforts will help connect the Contentful team with the wider developer community.
