# Delete a Channel by ID

DELETE https://api.contentful.com/organizations/{organizationId}/channels/{channelId}

Deletes a Channel. Unpublish the Channel first if it is published.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

- `organizationId` (string, required) — ID of the organization the Channel belongs to.
- `channelId` (string, required) — ID of the Channel.
